These powerful and unique weapons have become fan favorites over the years, known for their creativity and effectiveness. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 continues this tradition, introducing one of the most popular Wonder Weapons of all time in its upcoming map, The Tomb.

Launching with Black Ops 6 Season 2 on January 28, The Tomb will take players to an ancient burial chamber filled with both new and familiar content. Players will encounter Mimic enemies and the return of Death Perception, one of the fan-favorite Perk-a-Colas. But what’s generating the most excitement is the return of the iconic Staff of Ice from Black Ops 2's Origins map.

Originally introduced in Black Ops 2's Origins map, the four Elemental Staffs became a major part of Zombies lore. Players had to hunt for components scattered across the map, assemble the staffs, and unlock their abilities in "The Crazy Place." Each staff had a unique power: the Lightning Staff chained electricity through enemies, the Fire Staff shot fiery projectiles, the Wind Staff released Thundergun-like blasts of air, and the Ice Staff froze enemies in their tracks.

However, Black Ops 6’s The Tomb map will only feature the Staff of Ice, leaving the other three Elemental Staffs absent from the action. The Staff of Ice will retain its original abilities, allowing players to freeze enemies, unleash area-of-effect attacks, and even revive fallen teammates by shooting them with the staff—an upgrade feature from Origins.

While the Staff of Ice is often considered the best of the four, the absence of the other Elemental Staffs raises some questions. It’s possible that Treyarch will address the missing staffs in one of The Tomb's Easter eggs, though it's also likely that the development team chose to focus on a single staff after the addition of elemental swords in Citadelle des Morts. Despite the missing staffs, the Staff of Ice's return will surely excite long-time Zombies fans and add a powerful weapon to the fight against the undead.

As The Tomb map drops on January 28, players can look forward to this epic return to the Origins legacy, and perhaps uncover more secrets behind the elemental powers that defined one of Zombies' most legendary chapters.
