Forza Horizon 6 completely revamps the Forza Aero system. Gone are the generic wings and splitters from past games. Now, you can fully customize your car’s aero parts for both looks and performance. Here’s how to get the most out of it, step by step.
Step 1: Install Forza Aero Parts
Before you can customize, you need to equip the new parts:
- Visit any Festival Site or Player House.
- Open the Upgrades & Tuning tab and select Custom Upgrade.
- Go to the Aero and Appearance section.
- Equip the Front Splitter and/or Rear Wing.
Pro Tip: Each part now adapts to your car’s shape. No more generic, one-size-fits-all wings. This makes every car feel unique, both visually and aerodynamically.
Step 2: Access the "Style Selection" Menu
Equipping the parts unlocks a Style Selection menu in fine-tuning:
- Blade Styles: Pick from GT3, time attack, ducktail hybrids, or the new gooseneck (swan neck) rear wing.
- End Plates: Choose solid carbon, cut-outs, or vertical stabilizers.
- Secondary Elements: Add or hide extras like front canards or racing tow hooks.
Gamer Tip: Experiment with combinations—some setups look wild but work surprisingly well on tight corners.
Step 3: Visual & Paint Customization
FH6 finally lets you paint individual aero components:
- Go to Designs & Paints.
- Select parts like:
- Rear wing struts/supports
- Wing end plates
- Tow hooks
- Front splitter supports
- Apply colors or materials like exposed carbon fiber, candy paint, or metallic finishes.
Pro Tip: Painting struts a contrasting color can make your car pop in screenshots or showcase events.
Step 4: Aerodynamic Fine-Tuning
Once your car looks good, it’s time to dial in the performance:
- Open Upgrades & Tuning → Custom Tuning.
- Go to the Aero tab.
- Adjust the sliders:
- Front & Rear Downforce
- Speed: Less drag for high-speed tracks.
- Cornering: More grip for twisty sections.
- Front & Rear Downforce
Pro Tip: On highways, lean toward speed. On technical or mountain roads, cornering gives you a huge handling edge.
Step 5: Add Window Decals for the Full Race Look
While not affecting physics, window decals complete your race-spec car:
- Apply windshield banners and side/rear glass decals.
- Adjust opacity to make them subtle or bold.
- Combine with your aero paint for a cohesive livery.
Gamer Tip: Layer decals over aero parts to make your car look like a professional GT racer.
FH6’s Forza Aero system is more than just visual flair—it lets you tune both style and handling. Take your time to mix and match parts, paint, and downforce settings. With the right setup, your car won’t just look fast—it will feel fast on the track.
